The project is located within a 1,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use community called Bridgemont lat the intersection of Highway 66 and the soon-to-be Veterans Parkway. Bridgemont will include a resort with a 36-hole championship golf course, the new 200,000-sf Sevierville Events Center Complex, which was completed in September, the Wilderness Lodge with an indoor/outdoor water park and two chain hotels with more than 875 rooms. The project will also include cabin rentals and year-round residences.

Goodman Co. vice president of development Gary Housman tells GlobeSt.com that a project cost has not yet been developed for the project. Leasing efforts have started, but there are no signed leases yet in place for the project. The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2009 or the first quarter of 2010.

The project is near Smokey Mountain National Park, which is the most visited national park in the United States, drawing almost 12 million visitors annually. "The center will be located in the middle of a very busy area," Housman says. "There are 150,000 permanent residents and 12 million visitors."
