Goodman Starts Work on 515,000-SF Center

SEVIERVILLE, TN-The West Palm Beach, FL-based Goodman Co. is planning to begin site work in November on the Shops at Bridgemont, a 515,000-sf retail lifestyle center. Vertical construction of the project, just north of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, is expected to begin next summer.

The project is located within a 1,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use community called Bridgemont lat the intersection of Highway 66 and the soon-to-be Veterans Parkway. Bridgemont will include a resort with a 36-hole championship golf course, the new 200,000-sf Sevierville Events Center Complex, which was completed in September, the Wilderness Lodge with an indoor/outdoor water park and two chain hotels with more than 875 rooms. The project will also include cabin rentals and year-round residences.
