Kia was represented by Gregg Najarian, corporate managing director in the Hackensack office of Studley, and David Kim, who holds the same title in Studley's Los Angeles office. Boston Properties was represented in-house. Terms of the lease were not released.

"The move puts us closer to the New York metropolitan market, while still giving us access to Philadelphia, also an important market for Kia," says Michael Tocci, the company's director of operations for the Eastern region.

"Location was the key factor," Najarian says. "This building is directly off the New Jersey Turnpike, and is centrally located to Kia Motors' regional network of dealerships."

Built in 1986, the 23-story, 420,000-sf One Tower Center is part of an MXD located at Exit 9 of the Turnpike. Other parts of the mix include a second 23-story office tower and the 12-story Hilton East Brunswick hotel and conference center.
