SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA-Fuji Food Inc., a distributor of fresh and ready-to-eat sushi, has signed a 10-year, $10.3 million lease for a 91,189-sf warehouse and office building at 14420 Bloomfield Ave. The building was designed as a food processing facility with extensive interior improvements that were ideally situated for Fuji's food processing operations, according to Mike Hefner of the Anaheim Metro office of Voit Commercial Brokerage.
Hefner and Mike Cargile of Voit's Irvine office represented the lessee Fuji, which sells its products under the Fujisan brand name. The landlord, Metropolis Torrance I LLC, was represented by Eric Moore of Transwestern.
Hefner notes that the building offers a strategic distribution location with immediate access to the Santa Ana (5), Riverside (91), and San Gabriel River (605) freeways. Fuji delivers its sushi to grocery stores, clubs and warehouses in Southern California and throughout the US.
Fuji Food was founded in 1990 as a family-owned business that offered fresh sushi as a deli item in local markets. Eight years later, the company expanded the business and introduced its fresh sushi to major grocery and warehouse chains.
