TAMPA, FL-CarePlus Health Plans Inc. has signed a 35,672-sf lease for office space at Fountain Square II at 4925 Independence Pkwy. With the lease, the building will be approximately 75% occupied.

CarePlus Health Plans is a subsidiary of Louisville, KY-based Humana Inc. and offers Medicare Advantage HMO plans in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. Fountain Square is owned by a locally based developer Fountain Square II Ltd.

Jeff Tolrud, of locally based Colliers Arnold Real Estate Services, represented the tenant. David Green, of CB Richard Ellis, represented the landlord. Tolrud tells GlobeSt.com that, with the new lease, the company plans to relocate from another location within the Westshore submarket. The move is expected to be completed by March.

“The company wanted a new image and wanted to gain more efficiency in their layout,” Tolrud says. “They'll be located in the same submarket but in a different location.”
