WASHINGTON, DC-Two DC area hospitality consultancies have decided to merge operations to create a full-service hotel asset management and advisory firm. The new company, Revpar International, is the combination of Lazer Lodging, an asset management company launched in June 2006 and Revpar International, a hotel consultancy and advisory firm founded in 1992.

Richard Pastorino and Randall Carroll, founders of Revpar and Lazer Lodging, respectively, are assuming leadership positions in the new company, which will be undertaking consulting assignments and asset management for hospitality owners and lenders. Pastorino will serve as managing director; Carroll as president. Prior to forming Lazer Lodging, Carroll was SVP of Real Estate & Asset Management for MeriStar Hospitality Corp.

Pastorino says he did not consider a merger of any sort until recently. “After careful scrutiny, I did not hesitate to conclude that a merger with Lazer Lodging is the best way to elevate our advisory platform and expand our abilities to serve the many loyal clients of Revpar International.”

REVPAR also has a Miami office headed by SVP Christopher Cylke. The Miami office focuses on the hospitality markets of Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America.
