SPERRY VAN NESS
(IRVINE, CA) The executive changes include expanding the role of senior vice president John McDermott to national leader of business development in addition to national oversight for office and industrial properties. McDermott has spent seven years acting as the regional manager of the Southern California offices. Also, Rod Santomassimo and Kevin Maggiacomo are made senior vice presidents. Santomassimo joined the firm three years ago as regional director and vice president of the national advisor organization. Maggiacomo has been instrumental in growing the company to more than 150 offices in recent years.

Fear's duties include sourcing opportunities for Carlton Strategic Ventures while Belsky will source and underwrite acquisitions for the division. Fear most recently was senior vice president at Savills Granite and Belsky, a principal with Bonjour Capital.

(SALT LAKE CITY) The firm adds vice regional sales managers for Principal Commercial Mortgage Edge, its new small balance loan program. All hires previously were origination directors for Hometown Commercial Capital. Kent DeHart will be the Southwest regional manager. Allen Enochson gets the Northeast; Jared Livingston, the Southeast; Jared Walk, Texas and the mountain states; and Tom Owens, the Midwest. Owens will be based in Columbus while the rest of the team will work from Salt Lake City.

(NEW YORK CITY) Eric Cagner starts as associate director in the headquarters office. He spent three years as an associate with GVA Williams.

(HOUSTON) Greg Keith joins as an associate in the investment services group. Keith most recently was a consultant for Jones, Hill, McFarland & Ellis in Dallas.

GVA KIDDER MATHEWS
(SAN FRANCISCO, SEATTLE and PORTLAND, OR) In San Francisco, Gardner Combs comes on board as vice president and senior property manager to lead the expansion into property management in the Bay Area. Combs was co-founder and president of Northwest Asset Management. In Seattle, Stuart Kieland joins the office tenant group. The Portland office gets Josh Schweitz, who starts as an associate vice president in the office group, and Joe Sugura as senior vice president on the industrial team. Schweitz was most recently with CB Richard Ellis while Sugura came from Grubb & Ellis Co.

(CHICAGO and NEW JERSEY) David F. Miller becomes vice president in the tenant representation group for the CBD and Greater Chicagoland. Miller most recently was with Colliers Chicago. In Parsippany, NJ, Dino M. Mattessich also starts as a vice president, joining the tenant rep and agency client services group for the New Jersey market. He most recently was a senior associate for CB Richard Ellis.

Jurkash, who gets seat on the executive management team, was most recently as vice president and deputy general counsel for Oak Brook Bank. In Durham, NC, Wendy Webster is named assistant vice president. She was a former associate account manager for Staubach Co.

(CARLSBAD, CA) James Karlovsky is hired as a sales associate for the office group.
