AURORA, IL-Surface Guard Inc., headquartered here, has renewed two leases for a total of 107,000 sf of industrial space at 515 Enterprise St. and 615 Enterprise St. The term for the renewal is five years, says David Friedland, partner with Epic/Savage Realty Partners/TCN Worldwide.
Surface Guard, which makes plastic protective film placed on electronics and appliances, leases the entire 66,000-sf building at 515 Enterprise, which is used as the company's headquarters. The company also leases about half of the 84,000-sf building at 615 Enterprise St., which is used for production space. Surface Guard has leased space for about eight years in the two buildings, which share a common drive, Friedland says. The building at 615 Enterprise St. is fully leased, with the other tenant being Spectra Color. The asking lease rate for industrial space in the area is about $4.25 per sf net, he says.
Friedland represented Surface Guard in the lease transaction. Property owner Duke Realty, based in Indianapolis, represented itself in the transaction.
