NEW YORK CITY-CB Richard Ellis has appointed Spencer Levy as senior managing director of CBRE Capital Markets. In this role, he will coordinate and oversee the activities of more than 200 investment sales and debt and equity finance professionals across the Eastern US.
Levy assumes these responsibilities from Cab Grayson, who, after eight years, has transferred to a client relations position at the company’s CBRE Investors subsidiary. Levy had previously been a leader in one of the most active and diverse real estate investment banking practices for the past seven years. As a principal at Stifel Nicolaus, formerly Legg Mason Capital Markets, he was one of the bankers on 10 M&A transactions and played a significant role in the initial public offering of six REITs, as well as dozens of other public and private capital-raising transactions.
“As an investment banker, I can’t think of a more exciting job than helping to meld two hugely successful businesses–CBRE’s investment sales and debt/equity finance offerings–into an even more powerful, integrated platform that fully leverages the most talented professionals and largest footprint of client and capital relationships in the real estate industry,” Levy tells GlobeSt.com.
