A major portion of the project encompasses the renovation of an existing warehouse building on Three Brooks Rd. here, say county officials. The 125,000-sf facility is current occupied by Shore Points Distributors, a beer wholesaler, which is in the process of building a 270,000-sf warehouse nearby, and will vacate the site next year.
In September, the county board of freeholders approved a resolution appropriating $13.2 million to buy three parcels totaling 44 acres along Three Brooks Rd., including the existing warehouse building. The overall $65-million cost does include the site acquisition, according to a county spokesman.A time line for the new complex hasn't been announced, pending final plans for the project.
