The new construction will include four buildings, each with about 70,000 sf. The buildings will have rear load configurations and two buildings will share a truck court. The project cost has not yet been determined. The first two buildings are expected to be completed as early as the first quarter of 2009. A completion date has not yet been determined for the remaining two buildings, ProLogis vice president and market officer for Tampa David Hicks tells GlobeSt.com.

Hicks says the project will be similar to those completed for other clients. ProLogis customers in Tampa include Bunzl Distribution, Corporate Express, Verizon, Houston Wire & Cable Co. and Cintas Corp. "This building is in line with the ones we've done for our typical customer, which is a large corporation with distribution or warehouse needs," Hicks says.

The project is located three miles west of the intersection of Interstate 75, US Highway 301 and US Route 41. It is also located six miles from Downtown Tampa and near Interstate 4 and Highway 60. "Tampa is a land constrained market and industrial sites are hard to find," Hicks says. "This project will provide access to all the major truck roads in the area."
