$36M Hospital Sets Stage for 30-Acre Complex

DALLAS-Ground will break within two weeks on Forest Park Medical Center, a 26-bed hospital with hotel-type suites and amenities. Next could be a 90,000-sf MOB.

DALLAS-A local physicians’ group is poised to break ground within two weeks on a $36.4-million hospital as the opening act for a 30-acre, master-planned medical footprint in North Dallas. On the drawing board is a 90,000-sf medical office building.

The two-story Forest Park Medical Center, totaling 66,100 sf, will be built on 4.35 acres at the corner of US Hwy. 75 and Forest Lane, tucked between HCA’s Medical City and Presbyterian Dallas. The managing partners of the physicians group are Drs. Richard Toussaint, Wade Barker, Robert Wyatt and Corazon Ramirez, who are unfazed by the competition in the pocket.

“That location for our hospital, as well as theirs, is a very central location to the main core of Dallas and the highway system,” Wyatt explains about their choice of sites. The acreage, bought from Ty Commercial of Dallas, is considered to be the last premiere site inside the Interstate 635 loop.
