February Start Planned for 225-Unit Ashton Hills

ATLANTA-The project, adjacent to the Embry Village shopping center, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2009.

ATLANTA-A joint venture of Washington, DC-based Perseus Realty Partners and J. Tucker Development Partners plans to break ground in February on Ashton Hills, a 225-unit apartment community at the intersection of Chamblee Tucker and Henderson Mill Roads. The project, which will consist of one, four-story building, is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2009.

The building will contain one-, two- and three-bedroom units with an average unit size of 975 sf. The project cost or target rents were not released.

Perseus Realty Partners director T.J. Hofheimer tells GlobeSt.com that the project is located in an area with many demand generators. The 5-acre infill site is located in the North Dekalb submarket adjacent to the Embry Village shopping center, which is currently undergoing renovations. The project will have access to Interstate 85 and Interstate 285.
