The term for both leases is 10 years. The company plans to move its headquarters, currently located at the Sawgrass International Corporate Park in Sunrise, to the newly leased office at Sawgrass Technology Park.
Sawgrass Technology Park is owned by Stiles Capital Partners, a joint venture of Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles Corp. and Minneapolis-based Cargill. Stiles agents Madelayne Garcia and Liz Glaria represented by the landlord and Bob Argenti, of Coral Springs-based Florida Trust Realty, represented the tenant.
Stiles Realty Co. president Tom Kates tells GlobeSt.com that, with the new warehouse and industrial lease, the company will relocate from another building within Sawgrass Technology Park to the current location. With the new lease, the company tripled the amount of space it occupies within the park. "The non-office component was well-suited for their operations due to its infrastructure," Kates says. "It has high ceilings and lots of power."
Built in 1985, the 62.95-acre Sawgrass Technology Park consists of 12 Mediterranean Hacienda-style buildings. Among tenants in the park are Air France North American reservation headquarters, Sheridan Health Corp., First American Real Estate, the City of Sunrise and the Broward County School Board.
