Last Building Begins for Feds' $60M Plan

ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL-The 40,000-sf office building is the fifth one to break ground in South Florida for the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL-Construction has started on a single-story, 40,000-sf office building for the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. It is last of five projects in the agency’s $60-million plan for South Florida.

Work on the other buildings–located in Hialeah, Kendall, Miami and Oakland Park–began in August and will be completed in the summer. The last one, going up at 9300 Belvedere Rd., will be delivered in November. All buildings are roughly the same size and design although the project cost for the individual projects varied due to site conditions, Moss & Associates vice president of estimating Michael Thompson tells GlobeSt.com.

The Royal Palm Beach facility will house the information and adjudications offices and the agency’s application support center. It will include a ceremony room for naturalization, wireless Internet cafe and parking for customers and employees.
