[IMGCAP(2)]RE Speed Network co-founders Dave Kahane and Oren Klein agree that "while our three-minute quick pitch approach might seem overwhelming to some, the 'throw-the-spaghetti-on-the-wall' concept is very attractive to fast-paced real estate professionals. It allows you to quickly determine whether or not there is an opportunity for further business." Ori Klein, of Locust Systems, adds, "our unique registration process ensures a diverse real estate crowd at every event." The idea to create a speed networking event was born after the founders attended numerous functions that were targeted too broadly to fulfill the specific business networking needs of the commercial real estate industry.

Created in 2006, RE Speed Network was designed as a networking concept in which real estate professionals can gather in a friendly and efficient manner in order to create new business opportunities.

UPworld.com is an online networking platform, which connects thousands of real estate, finance, design, and building professionals to one another for new business opportunities, deals, and projects. Jennifer Magee, UPworld.com co-founder, states that "our networking events complement the on-line activities of UPworld's members and allow industry professionals to interact with one another in a friendly, non-intimidating environment."

Oisin Clancy, UPworld.com co-founder, adds that "UPworld members create easily edited on-line profiles and deal/project portfolios, to attract partners and prospects, and to showcase their skills and expertise. They network with each other to establish valuable business connections and form project teams."

This networking opportunity begins promptly at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 pm for pre-event informal networking. Online registration will be first come first served. At the event, the participants will be seated face to face. Each networking session will last for three minutes during which participants will introduce themselves, exchange business cards and discuss how they can help one another. At the sound of a bell, the session will end and the participants will move their seats accordingly to face the next person and begin again.
