IAC Completes Two Buildings of 297,000 SF

HIGHLAND PARK, IL-International Airport Centers LLC finishes two speculative freight-forwarding facilities.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL-International Airport Centers LLC, based in Highland Park, has completed the development of two speculative freight-forwarding facilities at 1000 County Line Rd., Elmhurst and 300 E. Touhy Ave., Des Plaines. The construction cost was estimated at $11 million. Krusinski Construction Corp., based in Oak Brook, constructed the two facilities.

A 248,748-sf facility, which has 54 exterior docks, was constructed on a 24-acre site in Elmhurst. International Airport Centers (IAC) was attracted to the Elmhurst site because “it was a fairly large site located in DuPage County and had reasonable proximity to the O’Hare submarket and interstate highway system,” says Daniel Johnson, managing director of IAC. James Estus, with Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler, is the leasing agent for the building. Michael J. Metz, with Krusinski, was the project executive and Ralph Colmenares, with Krusinski, was the senior project superintendent. Julius Kwasek, with Inverness-based Kwasek Architects, was the project architect.
