The project is being developed on 31 acres of land owned by the Housing Authority of Pompano Beach and financed primarily through the syndication of Housing Tax Credits sold by Pinnacle to investors. Fort Lauderdale-based Pasquale Kuritzky Architecture is the architect on the project. Keith & Associates, Redeye Landscape Design, Bryntesen Engineering and MEP of Florida are serving as consultants on the project.

The project will contain one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units and rents will range from $640 to $950 per month. Site plan approval was received in April. The project has two parts--the 182-unit Golden Square and the 120-unit Golden Villas. Amenities include two clubhouses, a neighborhood community center, computer lab, fitness center, playground/tot lot and volleyball court.

Pasquale Kuritzky Architecture Inc. president Joseph Pasquale tells GlobeSt.com the project will consist of six to eight buildings that are two or three stories high. The size of the units will range from 650 sf to 1,200 sf. The project will take about 16 months to complete. The project will serve as a catalyst for revitalization of the neighborhood. "There are some older structures that will be razed for make room for the project," Pasquale says. "The project will provide housing for the low-income people in the area."

Pinnacle Housing Group owns, operates and manages a portfolio of approximately 5,000 multifamily units from the Florida panhandle through Miami with a primary focus on South Florida. The company recently completed Pinnacle Village, which is also in Pompano Beach.
