Work To Begin on Marina for $2B Liberty Harbor

BRUNSWICK, GA-When completed, the 450-slip marina will be the largest between Charleston, SC and Miami.

BRUNSWICK, GA-Construction will begin in the first quarter for the 450-wet slip marina that is part of the $2-billion Liberty Harbor project. Developers have received final approvals for the marina and construction documents are about 85% complete. A general contractor has not yet been selected for the project, developer Gary Waxman, principal of Cleveland-based Liberty Harbor LLC, tells GlobeSt.com.

Liberty Harbor is situated on the Brunswick River, 4.6 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. When completed, the marina will be the largest between Charleston, SC and Miami. The Liberty Harbor Yacht Club will overlook the marina and will offer water sports, entertainment and dining.
