"Resurgens has been a large tenant in the Doctors' Center since 1991," says Resurgens Orthopaedic regional director Trish Moore, in a released statement. "We are happy with Lillibridge as both a property owner and manager."
Chicago-based Lillibridge acquired Doctors' Center Buildings I, II and III medical office buildings with a total of 350,000 sf in 2000. The buildings, which consists of one nine-story building and two three-story buildings, connect to Saint Joseph's Hospital by two underground tunnels and are connected to each other by a large, skylit atrium. The buildings offer access to Interstate 285 and Georgia 400 and are adjacent to Marta's medical center train/bus station.
The largest tenant in the buildings is Saint Joseph's Hospital, which has an outpatient center, imaging center and administrative offices. Saint Joseph's Hospital is part of Catholic Health East and is the only faith-based hospital in Atlanta.
Since acquiring the properties, Lillibridge has updated the interior spaces, made mechanical upgrades and renovated the exterior plaza, among other capital improvements, according to Lillibridge chairman and CEO Todd Lillibridge.
The properties are located in an area of Atlanta called "Pill Hill" because it is in the Perimeter Business District and is the location of three hospitals and a variety of medical office buildings.
