Dirt To Move by Year's End on $150M Westin Hotel

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL-The project, expected to be completed in fall 2010, will include 70 three-bedroom residences that will be priced over $1 million and 225 hotel rooms.

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL-Dallas-based Gatehouse Capital Corp. and the Jacksonville-based Devlin Group are planning to break ground by the end of the year on the 225-room Westin St. Augustine Hotel & Residences. The hotel will rise on 11 acres in the San Sebastian Harbor Development.

The hotel, the first Starwood product in Northeast Florida, will include 20,000 sf of meeting space, a spa, fitness center, retail space, a restaurant and bar, two swimming pools, poolside café, and a lounge and bar adjacent to the 65-slip marina with boardwalk promenade. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2010. Gatehouse Capital Corp. president and CEO Marty Collins tells GlobeSt.com that the project is expected to cost $150 million.
