The building, Westerre IV located at 3901 Westerre Pkwy., has already received pre-certified LEED silver status from the US Green Building Council. Liberty is now seeking the LEED silver certification.
Liberty has also signed on its first tenant for Westerre IV. Northwestern Mutual is pre-leasing 46,500 sf of office space on the first floor of the building, which is expected to deliver in May. David Wilkins, Trib Sutton and Scott Durham of CB Richard Ellis represented Northwestern Mutual in the transaction.
The three story multi-tenant building is constructed of brick and glass and has a high-tech energy management and security system. Other environmentally-friendly features include certified renewable woods, waterless urinals, low-flow shower heads and sensor faucets, water efficient landscaping, high energy-efficient HVAC equipment with special filters and carbon dioxide monitors, a highly reflective white TPO roof membrane, as well as low emission paints, carpet and adhesives. The architect for the Westerre IV project is Freeman & Morgan; the general contractor is ARGO Development and Dana Dame.
