The seller was represented in the transaction by Lester Osborn and A. Scott Hensley, of Piedmont Properties/Corfac International. Hensley tells GlobeSt.com that Wheelers sold the property as part of its plan to exit the North Carolina market to focus on Georgia. The company is also selling another 32,000-sf distribution facility on 5.35 acres at 500 N. Hoskins Rd.

Debs Pedigo is the owner of locally based Firehouse Casual Living Store, which sells specialty items for the patio and fireplace. The company has stores throughout North and South Carolina. D & K Assets is in the process of renovating the facility to become the main warehouse for furniture, as well as a clearance center for Firehouse Casual Living Store and Furniture Marketplace.

The light manufacturing/industrial building is on 14.5 acres and is in close proximity to Interstate 77 and Interstate 485. It features five dock-high doors, three drive-in doors, nine rail doors and an additional interior truck well that provides three additional dock-high positions. "The buyer liked the building's location and visibility on Westinghouse Boulevard," Hensley says.
