IDI Readies $120M, 3M-SF Distribution Center

JACKSON COUNTY, GA-Atlanta-based IDI has started site work on Jefferson Distribution Center. The master-planned business park will include up to five buildings with 2.8 million sf.

IDI vice president of leasing in the company’s Atlanta regional office Lisa Ward tells GlobeSt.com that the project is expected to cost in excess of $120 million. “We are currently marketing the project for build-to-suit or speculative space,” Ward says. “We anticipate that space will attract large warehouse- or distribution-type tenants.”

The company plans to begin construction in the third quarter on the park’s first building, an inventory facility of about one million sf. The rest of the park will feature a variety of build-to-suit and inventory space, with individual spaces ranging from 30,000 sf to 1.1 million sf.
