Jacobson Takes 320,000 SF for Logistics Space

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL-The company is leasing an entire building for a three-year term, in order to distribute dinnerware products for an unnamed firm.

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL-Jacobson Cos. Inc., based in Des Moines, has signed a lease for ProLogis Park 57, located here at 2635 Federal Signal Dr. The tenant, a third-party logistics provider, is leasing the entire 320,000-sf industrial facility, says John Picchiotti, an FVP with ProLogis, which owns the building. The term of the lease is three years, Picchiotti tells GlobeSt.com.

Larry Johnson, with CB Richard Ellis, represented ProLogis. Johnson was joined by Brian Fogelberg.

The park is a new location for Jacobson due to “some additional business,” he says. The facility will be used a regional distribution center for “a leading manufacturer of dinnerware products,” says a spokeswoman for ProLogis. The manufacturer is not being disclosed at the request of tenant, the spokeswoman says. Some of the company’s clients include Procter and Gamble, Heinz and DuPont, according to a statement.
