Originally built in the 1970s as the North American headquarters for Fiat, the asset was acquired by current owner Teachers Insurance in the late '90s, and refurbished and repositioned as a multi-tenant building in 2002. And Teachers has hired Grubb & Ellis, Fairfield, to fill the vacancy.
"The building was completely refurbished in 2002 and therefore is the next best thing to a new building," says G&E SVP John Beers, who's teamed with fellow SVP Craig Fitzpatrick to market the property. "It's the best building in the Triboro market," which consists of Montvale, Woodcliff Lake and Park Ridge.
The rest of the building is occupied by Ingersoll-Rand, which uses the space as its North American headquarters. The availability is currently listed with an asking price of $27 per sf.
