The Enclave, which is the first apartment complex in Orange County that the Irvine Co. has developed outside of the boundaries of the Irvine Ranch, features more than 20 floor plans, ranging from studios to two-bedroom units, with rents ranging from the mid-$1,500s to the mid-$2,600s. The units range from approximately 550 sf to more than 1,400 sf.

The 40-acre site also features park space, an outdoor theater, resort-style salt-water swimming pools and other amenities. The apartments, about half of which will be smoke-free, are within walking distance of the South Coast Plaza, the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the South Coast Repertory.

Max Gardner, president of the Irvine Co. Apartment Communities, says that the company saw "not just one reason but dozens" of reasons to choose the Enclave's location for the company's first 'off-ranch' project in the county. He says the Irvine Co. has watched with interest the maturation of the South Coast Metro area and believes it's an outstanding example of smart growth.

Each of the 890 units at the Enclave will feature full-size whirlpool washers and dryers, refrigerators with ice makers, range and microwave ovens, white kitchen and bathroom cabinets, granite countertops, high efficiency central heat and air conditioning and walk-in closets. All of the units include garages, some with direct access on selected floor plans.

Common area amenities will include the salt-water swimming pools, private cabanas, three spas, two clubhouses, a media room, a catering kitchen, a fitness center, an outdoor dining areas and a business center. The development includes a one-acre park with a tot-lot, a half basketball court and a jogging and biking trail as well as an indoor theater with stadium seating. The Enclave adds to an Irvine Co. Apartment Communities portfolio of approximately 90 properties in Orange County, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and San Diego.
