At build-out, the 17-acre site on Rte. 77/Bridgeton Pike in the Mullica Hill section of Gloucester County's Harrison Twp., will contain 65,000 sf of professional and medical offices, a 25,000-sf fitness center, retail stores and restaurants. The site is zoned to include medical offices and professional office condos.
"The project is almost fully committed with a fantastic mix of uses," says John McKenna, president of Madison Development Group, "from Underwood-Memorial Hospital's health pavilion and surgery center to a first-class health club and retail stores. There's unique synergy from which the collective development will benefit."
The health club has been taken by Future Fitness, and besides Underwood-Memorial the office tenants include Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors and The Bank, a regional community institution. Among the retail tenants that have signed on is Gymboree. The retailers and health club will begin opening this summer, and Underwood-Memorial's operations are scheduled to open by the end of the year.
Mullica Hill Commons is adjacent to Mullica Hill Plaza, a four-year-old shopping center developed by Madison and sold in August to AEW Capital Management for $22 million.
