Capella To Occupy 395,000 SF at 225 S. Sixth

MINNEAPOLIS-The 1.4-million-sf office building will be renamed Capella Tower, with the education provider being the largest tenant.

MINNEAPOLIS-Capella Education Co., headquartered here, has signed an expanded lease at 225 S. Sixth St. Capella will lease approximately 395,000 sf of the 1.4-million-sf building. The lease is through 2015, says Tom Hauschild, partner at the TEGRA Group.

As part of the new lease, the tower will be renamed Capella Tower. Capella Education Co. is the parent company of Capella University, which is based online.

Hauschild and Dan Johnson represented Capella in the lease transaction. Bob Pfefferle and Mike Julius, both with Hines, represented building owner ASB Capital Management. Capella has leased space in the building since 2004 and currently occupies 203,000 sf.
