"This new office space will enable us to better serve our customers in the Southeast region through the operational efficiencies the configuration provides," says Larry Kalman, Waste Management corporate real estate executive, in a released statement. "We had a strict timeframe in which to locate new office space and UGL Equis was able to meet those needs and identify space that suited our operational and location requirements."
Chicago-based UGL Equis senior VP Chris Wood and senior associate Robert Kontur represented Waste Management in the transaction. Jeff Franz of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord, Miami-based Parmenter Realty Partners.
"The relocation will significantly reduce the company's rent expenses," says Wood. "We were able to fulfill the company's requirements for a new facility, including geographic proximity to existing employees, access to amenities and customized floor plan specifications."
The building is located within the Cumberland Galleria submarket, Atlanta's second largest. In addition to class A office space, the submarket is home to hotels, conference space and two major retail centers.
