ATLANTA-Houston-based Waste Management has signed an 18,720-sf lease for space at 1000 Parkwood Circle, which will serve as its Southern Group’s regional headquarters. The company, which provides waste and environmental services throughout North America, will occupy the majority of the seventh floor in the nine-story building, with the lease starting later in second quarter.
“This new office space will enable us to better serve our customers in the Southeast region through the operational efficiencies the configuration provides,” says Larry Kalman, Waste Management corporate real estate executive, in a released statement. “We had a strict timeframe in which to locate new office space and UGL Equis was able to meet those needs and identify space that suited our operational and location requirements.”
Chicago-based UGL Equis senior VP Chris Wood and senior associate Robert Kontur represented Waste Management in the transaction. Jeff Franz of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord, Miami-based Parmenter Realty Partners.
