[IMGCAP(1)]NEW YORK CITY-Last year, RealShare Conferences expanded its platform with a hospitality-focused event, which attracted more than 300 attendees. This year, building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the RealShare Hotel Investment & Finance Summit will once again attract the most important stakeholders in hotel investment and finance to the industry’s capital markets mecca, New York City, for a one-day event offering top-level information, active dealmaking, and networking.
[IMGCAP(2)]The conference will be held on April 15, 2008 at the Waldorf Astoria with breakfast and registration beginning at 7:15 a.m. followed by opening remarks from Michael Desiato, group publisher, editorial director and VP of Real Estate Media and Geoff Davis, president of HREC Investment Advisors, founding sponsor of the event. In addition, an opening cocktail reception will be held April 14th at 6 p.m. More than 350 attendees are expected to attend.
“There has been a lot of focus, all legitimate, on the credit and liquidity crunch and the impact they are having on the hotel market along with the weakening economy, but RealShare Hotel Investment & Finance is bringing together a strong group of industry players who are still doing deals and transactions, albeit under different terms and with different structures,” comments Richard Kelley, executive director of the RealShare Conference Series. “That’s really what the event is all about–bringing together the leading investors, developers and financiers in the hospitality industry to discuss where the market is now, where it is heading, and how to operate opportunistically and profitably in an uncertain market.”
