Todd Burnette, executive vice president in the Fort Worth office of Dallas-based Staubach Co., tells GlobeSt.com that the expansion was sealed with a term "just shy of five years" for a 121,700-sf office/warehouse at 3333 Quorum Dr. He says the county's real estate team looked "off and on" about six months before zeroing in on Mercantile Center, a two-million-sf development of flex office and industrial space positioned close to the junction of Interstate 35W and Loop 820.

Burnette credited the park's local long-term ownership with contributing to the win. Other dealmakers were the building's flexibility for expansion and 28-foot clear height. "They had choices and more than one good choice," he says. "I just think they liked that particular location." Staubach senior vice president George D. Duncan Jr. partnered with Burnette for the search and signing with Mercantile Partners LP's broker, Brian L. Randolph.
