MailExpress was represented in the transaction by Stephen Elman of Cushman & Wakefield, East Rutherford. Landlord Forsgate Industrial Partners was represented in-house by Andrew Moss. The lease consolidates and expands MailExpress' local operations from two smaller Forsgate-owned facilities in nearby Teterboro.
"We surveyed the entire northeast New Jersey market for MailExpress, which sought a Meadowlands location with easy access to the USPS distribution centers in Teterboro and close proximity to their customers in Manhattan," Elman says. "As a freestanding, single-tenant building, 5 Garden St. is an accessible, quality property.
Forsgate is renovating the building for MailExpress, including incorporation of offices, new loading doors, upgraded lighting and repaved parking.
