CBRE did not return queries by deadline. Cogent Communications also did not return calls by deadline. According to online data, asking rent is $50 per sf at the property. According to CBRE's April 2008 snapshot, average asking rents were $49 per sf for the downtown area with a 6.7% vacancy rate.
The state of Downtown as a whole, will be spotlighted on May 13 at RealShare Downtown New York.
The 30-story, 369,269-sf property located at 33 Whitehall St., features an atrium lobby, glass and steel construction and unobstructed views of the New York harbor. Other tenants include Microsystems, EEOC, Fitch Inc., and LaBranche & Co. Inc.
