WASHINGTON, DC-Mayor Adrian Fenty’s administration is in the process of underwriting some 11 development and redevelopment projects underway that will deliver 710 affordable housing units to the city. All together, $25 million in local and federal funding is being allocated to these 11 projects.

The 11 projects, which are located Wards 1,4,5,7, and 8, were selected by the District’s Department of Housing and Community Development through a competitive bid process to apply for funding assistance. They include rental, senior housing and for-sale homes as well as about 100 units of permanent housing for the homeless. They will also comply with DC’s green building standards.
