International Commerce Center Proposed

BAYONNE, NJ-The details are unclear, but Waitex founder Howard Li has an application before the city council relating to his proposal.

BAYONNE, NJ-The details are sketchy and plans very preliminary, but businessman Howard Li has an application before the city council here to turn a 23-acre industrial site into an international commercial and retail center. Bayonne International Commerce Center would rise at the intersection of Pulaski St. and Route 440 near the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor MXD redevelopment of the former Military Ocean Terminal.

According to published reports, Li is seeking permission from the city council to redevelop the site, which his company, Waitex International, owns, and has approached the planning board with general redevelopment plans. Li could not be reached for comment.
