The Canadian hotelier has staked claims to the provinces of Ontario, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. It already has Ramada hotels in Calgary, Prince George and Vancouver.
"We are focused on growing and strengthening the Ramada brand," Mark Young, brand senior vice president for Ramada Worldwide Inc., says in this morning's press release. "This agreement with Days Hospitality is a testimony to that commitment." Additional details were unavailable before deadline.
Last year, Wyndham signed a franchise pact with Canalta, a Drumheller, Alberta-based hotelier to develop 30 hotels in Western Canada for Ramada Worldwide, a subsidiary of Parsippany, NJ-based Wyndham Worldwide Corp. The Ramada flag is now flying in more than 35 countries.
