BOSTON-As a commercial real estate professional whose career is approaching four decades, David L. Pergola has been around the block a few times, and now the award-winning broker is embarking on a new journey with a partner sporting its own local legacy. Having spent nearly all of his 38 years in the field–at what is today rival Colliers Meredith & Grew–Pergola is joining CB Richard Ellis/New England in Boston, company officials have confirmed.

“We are thrilled to have David here,” says President Andrew Hoar. Pergola “has been one of the top senior professionals in the brokerage business for years, and we feel this offers us the chance to draw on his experience and position in the market,” Hoar adds in announcing that the new arrival is coming in as a partner. Besides serving as”a mentor” for fellow staffers, Hoar says Pergola will be a member of the suburban brokerage team that includes principals Andrew Majewski, Michael Ripp and Mark Reardon, all long-time New England commercial real estate veterans.

Beyond stressing that he is “excited” to be working with that trio, Pergola deferred questions about his role at CBRE/New England to Hoar, who reports that the broker will be helping on investment sales as well. That team also sports a cadre of top talent, including William Moylan, retail broker Christopher Angelone and principal Gary Lemire, while the division recently hired multifamily expert Paul Donahue. Hearkening back to the pre-specialist era when brokers juggled all manner of assignments, Pergola has traditionally done both leasing and sales, having previously been a leader in the investment sales team at what was then Meredith & Grew.
