"Key Logistics Park is strategically located along the heaviest traveled distribution route in Pennsylvania," says Kevin Wade, VP of office and industrial development for Lauth's Northeast region, in a news release. "This site offers the ability to distribute to 40 million people within a four-and-a-half-hour drive and the flexibility to meet large distributor's needs in any configuration desired."

[IMGCAP(2)]A company spokesman tells GlobeSt.com that Lauth has developed other projects in Pennsylvania, "including one of the largest green distribution centers in the country. The 525,000-sf REI East Coast Distribution Center in Bedford, PA opened last year and is LEED Silver certified. In addition, we have other office and healthcare projects in development in other parts of the state."

Lauth had been exploring options in the corridor for "a couple of years" before purchasing the Key Logistics project from Kennett Square, PA-based Key Development last year for an undisclosed sum, says the spokesman. In Oct. 2006, Key Development had revealed plans for Key Logistics Park, to be marketed by a team from the King of Prussia office of Grubb & Ellis.
