Prime Outlets Continuing Regional Push

HOLLY SPRINGS, GA-A new 450,000-sf outlet center here will be the ninth of its kind in the Southeast.

HOLLY SPRINGS, GA-Prime Retail is continuing to blaze new trails for bargain shoppers within the Southeast, including a new 450,000-sf outlet center planned in this Atlanta suburb over the next two years. The new center will be its ninth in the region, with two of its five Florida locations designated for expansion and renovation.

Plans for Prime Outlets Holly Springs were introduced this week during the International Council of Shopping Centers RECon meeting in Las Vegas. The estimated $120-million project will feature approximately 120 stores and is expected to result in 2,000 new jobs.

At the same time, the company plans a grand reopening this weekend at Prime Outlets International in Orlando, which recently completed $300 million worth of work. Orlando is Prime Retail’s largest outlet center nationwide, totaling 778,000 sf.
