Furniture Company Doubles Space, Renews

NEW YORK CITY-Ergonomic furniture company Humanscale Corp. has signed a 10-year, 12,082-sf expansion lease and a 12,083-sf renewal lease at 11 E. 26th St. The company, which already occupied the eighth floor of the property, will use the new seventh floor space to house its growing design and marketing team.

Sources close to the deal tell GlobeSt.com that the landlord of the 21-story property is East 26th Associates. Asking price was $45 per sf. James Buslik and Jeffrey Schwartz of Adams & Co. Real Estate LLC represented the landlord in the transaction while Herb Goldberg of Edward Warren & Co. represented the tenant. Buslik tells GlobeSt.com that the aggregate value of the lease is in excess of $12 million.
