Skanska Lands $63M Hospital Project

ROANOKE, VA-This 211,000-sf hospital will be the sixth project Skanska is developing for Carilion Health System in this market.

ROANOKE, VA-Skanska USA has won another mandate from its repeat client, Carilion Health System–a $63 million construction management contract for a 208-room hospital here. That figure includes the $10 million of preconstruction work that Skanska has already carried out for the project. The 211,000-sf hospital is expected to deliver in October 2009.

The building will also house a radiology department equipped for magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography scanning as well as radiation treatment. Skanska’s Durham, NC-based office will be managing the project.
