Harris & Harris Subleases 37,000 SF at Mart

CHICAGO-The accounts receivables firm is relocating from 600 W. Jackson, and expanding in an insurance firm's space in the nearly 3.5-million-sf Merchandise Mart.

CHICAGO-Harris & Harris Ltd., an accounts receivable management firm, has signed a sublease for 37,399 sf at the Merchandise Mart, 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, here. The firm will sublease the space from Bankers Life and Casualty Co.

David Gelfand, executive managing director with Studley, represented Harris & Harris in the sublease transaction. Lisa Konieczka, EVP with CB Richard Ellis, represented Bankers Life and Casualty Co. in the transaction. Company representatives were not available for comment. Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., a subsidiary of Vornado Realty Trust, is the owner of the building.
