The property has a six-story, 92,000-sf building that was the Archdiocese's Pastoral Center, the spokeswoman says. Children's Memorial Hospital is constructing the Ann & Ruboert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago less than a block away at 225 E. Chicago.

Children's Memorial will either use the space at a future date for "non-patient care uses" such as faculty offices, administrative offices and out-patient clinics or will demolish the existing building and construct a facility for the "non-patient uses," she says. The organization has not decided if it will lease the space on a temporary basis until it is needed, she says.
