Construction Start Near for $300M Mixed-Use Development

LAKE WORTH, TX-First Project Set to Launch in $300M Multi-Use Development.

LAKE WORTH, TX-Land sales are expected to close this week and next for the first two elements of Landmark Quebec, a $300 million mixed-use project at Loop 820 and Quebec Street on the city’s border with Fort Worth. The project by Wilson-Stonaker LLC of Southlake, TX will ultimately have 50 acres of commercial and retail development, 50 acres of residential development and 100 acres of industrial development.

Dallas-based Starplex Operating LP expects to close on a site this week and immediately begin construction of a 12-screen Starplex Cinemas theater. Purchase of the site for a 100-unit Hampton Inn is also nearing completion, according to Wilson-Stonaker manager Bill Stonaker, who tells GlobeSt.com the hotel deal awaits only the promised city stamp of approval.

Stonaker says a deal with a major anchor for the overall project is also near completion. Though he is not free to divulge the name of the anchor, he does say the deal hinges on a request to rezone 45 acres of the site currently designated for residential use. Local news sources have revealed that Texas Health Resources of Arlington, TX is negotiating to build a $100 million Harris Methodist hospital in the project.
