The building is being marketed for either lease or for sale as office condominiums, with availabilities range from 1,908 sf up to full building. TAK officials say they are also considering a pre-built suite for tenants of less than 1,000 sf to share. TAK has also hired CB Richard Ellis to find either tenants or office condo buyers.
"83 South St. used to be the site of the pre-Civil War era John Wesley Bartleson Mansion, which was built in 1836," CBRE first VP Suzanne Macnow tells GlobeSt.com. Macnow is handling the assignment with senior associate Patricia Riedel and associate Paul Vlecides, and all three are in the firm's East Brunswick office.
"This new building was designed architecturally to resemble the old mansion, and to be aesthetically pleasing to the surrounding community," Macnow says. "The location provides convenient area amenities and strong local demographics."
Located near county offices and the county courthouse, the new building will have covered parking, a granite floor lobby and up to 5,000 sf of secured basement storage space.
