40,000-SF Office Under Construction

FREEHOLD, NJ-TAK Group's new three-story project at 83 South St. here is positioned for lease or for sale as office condos.

FREEHOLD, NJ-Construction is under way for 83 South St., a new three-story, 40,293-sf office building in this Monmouth County seat. The brick façade building is being developed by the TAK Group of Clark, NJ, with that company’s TAK Construction Inc. serving as general contractor and construction manager.

The building is being marketed for either lease or for sale as office condominiums, with availabilities range from 1,908 sf up to full building. TAK officials say they are also considering a pre-built suite for tenants of less than 1,000 sf to share. TAK has also hired CB Richard Ellis to find either tenants or office condo buyers.

“83 South St. used to be the site of the pre-Civil War era John Wesley Bartleson Mansion, which was built in 1836,” CBRE first VP Suzanne Macnow tells GlobeSt.com. Macnow is handling the assignment with senior associate Patricia Riedel and associate Paul Vlecides, and all three are in the firm’s East Brunswick office.
