"Due to the growth of our business, our existing facility, which we've expanded three times over the years, no longer meets our needs," says Dan Schildge, COO of CRP Industries, which was founded in the mid-1950s as the North American distribution partner for the Hanover, Germany-based Continental AG. CRP's product lines span the market segments of automotive replacement (aftermarket) parts, high-speed electric motors and industrial hoses.
"The new building will enable us to better serve our customer base by improving operational efficiencies, expanding our offerings and establishing and developing more distribution options," Schildge says.
"This will be a turnkey development that will provide CRP with some critical features, including about 15,000 sf of headquarters offices," says J.G. Petrucci principal Greg Rogerson. "It will have 36-foot clear ceiling heights, 55-foot column spacing and an ESFR sprinkler system."
The new location is less than a mile from Exit 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike, about halfway between that highway and the parallel Route 130. "It gives CRP superior access to the ports and most major markets," says Rogerson.
Besides its New Jersey operations, CRP also has distribution locations in California and Mexico. For its new headquarters and W/D location here, the company was represented by Robert Bull, executive managing director in Studley's Iselin, NJ office, and George Molloy, formerly senior managing director in that office.
