Distributor Getting New 101,000-SF HQ

CRANBURY, NJ-CRP Industries will relocate across Central NJ to a new office and W/D building constructed by J.G. Petrucci Co.

CRANBURY, NJ-CRP Industries Inc. is getting ready to move across Central New Jersey from its current headquarters and main W/D center in Carteret to a new company-owned building slated to rise on the 8.2-acre site at 35 Commerce Dr. here. Construction is set to start on the new facility later this month, and the Asbury, NJ-based J.G. Petrucci Co. is designing and constructing it for CRP with a completion date of Feb. 2009.

“Due to the growth of our business, our existing facility, which we’ve expanded three times over the years, no longer meets our needs,” says Dan Schildge, COO of CRP Industries, which was founded in the mid-1950s as the North American distribution partner for the Hanover, Germany-based Continental AG. CRP’s product lines span the market segments of automotive replacement (aftermarket) parts, high-speed electric motors and industrial hoses.

“The new building will enable us to better serve our customer base by improving operational efficiencies, expanding our offerings and establishing and developing more distribution options,” Schildge says.
